Graham, Texas 2025

Graham is at the intersection of US Highway 380 and State Highway 114, 17 miles nortwest of Breckenridge and 146 miles west of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in southwestern Young County, Texas, United State. As of the 2010 census, the city has a total population of 8,906.

In 1873, the town was established as a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railway and was named after J.M. Graham, a railroad official. Commodore Perry ran a general store and used it as a post office, which opened on November 14, 1873. The community was originally located 2 miles SW of its present location but was relocated to its current site in 1876, when the Santa Fe Railroad built through the area.

There are four lakes around Graham: Lake Graham, Lake Eddleman, Lake Tanglewoor, and Lake Bridgeport.

It is the county seat of Young County.

Graham has a public lake on the town's southwest side, several parks, a museum, a hospital, a clinic, a nursing home, a small airport, and a country club with a nine-hole golf course. The community has a newspaper, the Graham Leader.
