Elmwood Park is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the borough's population was 20,135.
Elmwood Park was formed on April 15, 1916, from portions of Ridgewood Township, Saddle River Township, and Paramus, based on the results of a referendum held on June 24, 1915.
Elmwood Park has a total area of 2.54 square miles, all of which is land. It is bordered to the north by Waldwick, to the east by Ridgewood, and to the south and west by Paramus.
As of the 2010 U.S Census, there were 20,027 people, 7,878 households, and 5,617 families residing in the borough. The population density was 7,904.3 per square mile. There were 8,260 housing units at an average density of 3,246.9 per square mile.
