Wyandotte is a city located in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,049. Wyandotte is a downriver community that is part of the collection of communities known as the Downriver area, which includes 18 communities, including Allen Park, Canton, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Ecorse, Gibraltar, Lincoln Park, Livonia, Melvindale, Northville, Plymouth, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Taylor, Trenton, Westland, and Woodhaven.

Wyandotte has a diverse population with a mix of different cultures, ethnicities, and religions. The city celebrates various festivals throughout the year that reflect its diversity, such as the Wyandotte Street Art Fair, the Downriver Detroit air show, the Wyandotte Museum's vintage car show, Boo-Tastic Halloween Bash, and Christmas in the Park, among others.

One of the popular local attractions in Wyandothek is the Wyandotte Museum, established in 1964. It consists of the historic home of Dr. E. B. McClellan, an apothecary museum, and a one-room schoolhouse. The museum showcases the history of Wyandotte, and visitors can tour the Dr. E. B. McClellan home, which was built in 1888. Another popular attraction is the Wyandotte Shores Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course with lakes and wetlands that provide challenges for both beginners and experienced golfers.

Wyandotte offers different types of cuisine. Popular food spots include Anchor Bay Bar & Grille, which serves seafood and American fare, and My Place, a family-friendly eatery with burgers and sandwiches. Chuck's Garage Bar & Grille offers a laid-back atmosphere with classic Americana fare, and Bangkok Thai Restaurant serves Thai cuisine. Other popular restaurants in the area include The Bronx Deli, Famous Dave's BBQ, and Primo's Restaurant. Wyandotte is very famous for its BBQ, steaks, and seafood.

Wyandotte was originally home to the Wyandot people, an Algonquian-speaking people. In 1854, the Wyandot founded the City of Wyandotte, and in 1856, the surrounding land was incorporated as the Township of Wyandotte. The city's population grew rapidly during the late 19th century, driven by the construction of the railroad and the establishment of businesses. In 1873, the citizens of Wyandotte petitioned to be incorporated as a city, which was granted by the state legislature in 1881. At that time, it was the second-largest city in Wayne County, second only to Detroit, and still one of the nation's wealthiest cities in per-capita income.
