Montague is a town in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 8,400 at the 2020 census. Montague is home to the Montague Bookmill, a used bookstore that spans four floors and has been in operation since the 1980s. The Turners Falls (Massachusetts)Canal has a dam that separates the towns ofTurners Falls and Montague. The canal was built in the 19th century.
