chamblee,GeorgiaChamblee is a city in De Kalb County, Georgia, United States, northeast of Atlanta. As of the 2020 census, the population of Chamblee was 30,173. Chamblee is one of the largest cities in De Kalb County.

Chamblee was originally settled in the late 19th century, but did not begin to experience substantial growth until the 1970s. The previously little-known dot on the map underwent a transformation into "the newest intown address" due to the construction of the Fulton County Expressway, which runs directly through Chamblee. Subdivisions sprouted up, and in 1971, Chamblee was incorporated as a city.

Chamblee's official motto is "Southern hospitality at its best." It reflects the friendly and welcoming nature of the city. They are proud of their Southern roots and welcome people from all walks of life. The city boasts a small-town charm, extensive parks and recreational facilities, and diverse demographics.

Chamblee frequently sponsors community activities such as seasonal celebrations, concerts, and festivals, including an annual Independence Day Parade, a farmers market, and a weekly "Dinner on Main" event throughout the summer. During the summer, concerts are hosted on Thursday evenings at the Gazebo in Downtown Chamblee. Moreover, Chamblee's downtown area encompasses a three-block district of bars, restaurants, and boutiques, particularly in the historic downtown area known as "Antique Row."

Chamblee has much more to offer than most Atlanta suburbs. Residents can select from a variety of cuisines. The city boasts some of the best Chinese and Korean barbecue outside of Seoul, good Southern Vietnamese food, and one of the city'erful meat markets.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.1 square miles, of which 3.0 square miles are land and 0.1 square miles (3.2%) are water.

In the city, the population was distributed as follows: 22.5% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 32.4% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 12.2% who were 65 years of age or older. Chamblee's median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 88.4 males. There were 83.8 males for every 100 females aged 18 and over.

The city of Chamblee is served by DeKalb County School District. The district operates Chamblee Middle School, Chamblee High School, and Montclair Elementary School in Chamblee.
