History:
University Park was once known as the "airport neighborhood" because it was close to the Miami International Airport. The area's opening in 1933 of the University of Miami brought new residents to the area, and the university purchased

Single-family homes for the middle and upper-middle class, including several Mediterranean-style stucco houses with barrel roofs, can be found in the region.
