Newington is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 30,645 at the 2020 census. The town of Newington was incorporated in october 1727, and was out of Hartford, The name "Ntington" was suggested by a historian participating in a contest, who believed the town'thythm and beauty deserved a unique and dignified name.
