Willows is a city located in Glenn County, California, in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,121.
Willows is located in the Sacramento Valley of Northern California, approximately 15 miles southwest of the city of Chico, California. The city has a total area of 2.91 square miles (7.5 sq mi), all of it land.
The city's history dates back to 1850 when it was a stopping place for travelers on the way to the gold fields. It was named for Willow Creek, which flows through the area. In 1874, a post office opened, and the town began to grow. In 1882, a railroad was constructed through the town. The city was officially incorporated in 1885.
